I'm Ankit Kumar, a 16 year old photographer. I started photography when I was 12 years old, and haven't stopped since. I mostly photograph wildlife and landscapes, but I try my hand at many other genres including but not limited to: underwater photography, astrophotography, travel photography, and more.
In the past I have entered some of my photos in competitions, and have been honoured to be:
U14 Travel Photographer of the Year 2016
Runner-Up U14 Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2017
Asian Geographic Youth Photographer of the Year 2017
Twice Highly Honoured from Nature’s Best Photography Asia 2018
I have been featured in:
The Lonely Planet magazine: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/news/2016/12/16/see-incredible-winning-images-annual-travel-photographer-year/
Nature’s Best Photography Asia magazine: http://www.naturesbestphotography.asia/en/gallery/#junior
My passion for nature photography has caused me to become an avid conservationist, supporting the cause however I can.
Recently, I have partnered with the Great Plains foundation, and have raised over US$25,000 through the sales of my photos. You can find my charity website here: Way to Help.
If you want to get in touch, you can do so via the email button down below, or through my Instagram (@Ankitohmatix). I have a separate site for prints which you can find here: ankitkumar.darkroom.tech/
